Asturian triumph in the Rally of Winter of classic

The Asturian equipment formed by Cristóbal and Jose Maria Figaredo, to the controls of a MGA of 1955, proclaimed champion of the ninth classic Rally of Winter of sport, with 113 participants and 450 kilometers of route by highways of Corunna, Lugo and Pontevedra. The winners of the test, that only in one of his previous editions he had gained a Spanish equipment, surpassed in only two points the Portuguese Camilo Figueiredo and Carlos Hipólito, with a Volvo PV-544 of 1961, and in six to the third parties, also Portuguese Eduardo Neves and Antonio Caldeira (Porsche 356 of 1959). Another Asturian vehicle, the Triumph Tr3 of 1955 that occupied Jorge Alvarez and Eduardo Sanchez, occupied the fourth place with the same points of the third parties.

Besides the mentioned ones, other four Asturian equipment took the exit in the pontevedresa locality of Cambados. They were Jose Brown Ramon and Pink Maria Billiards, piloting a Porsche 356 SC Joist of 1963; Luis Faes and Maria Light Garci'a, with a 1962 MG B; Santiago Alvarez-Room and Javier Gutiérrez, to the steering wheel of a Sumbeam Rapier of 1962, and Rufino Lopez and Maria Jesus Albuerne, with a 911 Porsche Race 2,7 of 1973.

Between more than one hundred participant vehicles, coming from of Pamplona, Oviedo, Vigo, Corunna, Oporto and Lisbon, was a remarkable presence of Portuguese pilots, great specialists in this modality of motoring and representatives of a country where traditionally the conserved cars better of these times are seen.
