Caramulo, first appointment after the summer for the Repsol Classic Team

After parón that has the international races of old cars in the month of August, the Repsol Classic Team retakes the season with the attendance the first weekend of September (4 to the 6) to the Ascent to Caramulo, in Portugal. A classic appointment to which it will go with four vehicles of escudería prepared to win in his respective categories.

For the Portuguese appointment the Repsol Classic Team will take its better automobiles for mountain. Miguel Aryan will align for the first time in this year his exclusive Unipower. The image of its very aerodynamic fiber glass body mounted on a light chassis and that goes moved by a Cooper motor 1.3 liters, equipped with gear box Hewland, will be one of the attractiveness of the race. Next to him, another singular car: the small boat Elbe MK7 with BMW motor of Carlos de Miguel who already used in the ascent to Mont Ventoux in past June.

In the chapter of tourism, Javier Grouse has registered his exclusive Jaguar and habitual Type in rallies of classic. The fourth vehicle of the Repsol Classic will be Fiat 124 habitual Abarth of rallies in category of speed and that, in this occasion, will be piloted by Jose Macías, proprietor of MC Motorsport and habitual trainer of the races of the Championship of Spain GT.

Caramulo is a very special appointment in the Iberian calendar of competitions of classic since, in this small town of the mountain range of the Portuguese Star is the best museum of old automobiles of the peninsula, constructed thanks to the personal effort of doctor Lacerda and that now administer their successors. The Portuguese liking is very understood in old cars and the ascent to Caramulo becomes a great celebration with more than 20,000 spectators during the Sunday of the competition.
