Barcelona presents/displays a project to unfold the electrical vehicle

The City council of Barcelona today presented/displayed a project of collaboration between Administration and deprived sector to drive the implantation of the electrical vehicle in the city and its metropolitan area by means of the gradual incorporation of cars driven with this energy and the establishment of a network of supplying for its charge.

This initiative --baptized like Live Project and within the framework presented/displayed of the Hall Automobile Barcelona-- it agglutinates not only to the local Administration and the Catalan Autonomous Government, but also to manufacturers of reference in Catalonia like Seat and Nissan, ENDESA, the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) and the Racc, among others companies and institutions.

According to the mayor of Barcelona, Jordi Hereu, Barcelona it thus persecutes “to become world-wide a referring city� in the implantation of this vehicle park, since it assured that economic reasons exist --the sector of the automobile uses to 44,000 people in the province--, environmental and of mobility that forces to make this bet.

The mayor offered the city and its metropolitan area as territory of tests for the unfolding of these vehicles on the part of the manufacturers, who have the challenge ahead to offer more respectful models with the environment but without the prices go off.

The vice-president of Human Resources of Seat, Ramon Walls, was pleased that the Administration shows its will to establish the bases so that the industry of the automobile “can realize a transition ordinate� towards models that will represent the future of the sector that, added, will be “fruitful�.
